Presscovery of the Birkebeiner

This year the Birkebeinerrace will be covered by press from several countries, since being the last race in this years World Cup. It’s not yet decided which or how many medias who will be accredited, but NRK-TV will be there to cover the arrangement.

www.birken.no will be attending both at start and at the Birkebeiner stadium

Presscentre at Lillehammer
- There will be a press-centre at Lillehammer because it is the finish that is most interresting to show pictures from, states press-executive at Birkebeineroffice in Lillehammer, John Eikhaugen.

NRK sends live from finishline
NRK Sport will cover the race live from the finishline in WorldCupFinale from 11am-11.30am Saturday. This is a part of the World Championschip Biathlon [Skiskyting????] in Holmenkollen.

 

NRK will also send an hour edited clips at 4.30pm saturday afternoon. This will programme will cover the preparation, the start, from the mountain, and the finish on Birkebeiner stadium in Lillehammer.

The last 15 minutes of NRK’s programme will consist of reports from the elite and the rest of the classes fight against weather, wind, the clock and themselvs across the mountain.

No radioprogrammes
No national radiostations will cover the Birkebeinerrenn except for covering throug the regular news-broadcasts.

Åmots own Birkebeinerradio will cover the whole race all the way.
